Atlanta, GA – On June 29, 2010, Architectural Visions, Inc. (AVI) a Marvin Design Gallery, cosponsored an appearance by author and architect Sarah Susanka. Appearing before 120 architects, builders and designers at the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, the acclaimed author of nine best-selling books including "The Not So Big House" and "The Not So Big Life" gave a presentation entitled "Systematically Green: Urban Roots to Suburban Regrowth." AVI is a Gold sponsor of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
"Ms. Susanka's 'build better, not bigger' philosophy represents the current change in homebuyer tastes that's also being driven by the challenging real estate market," said Peter Morrison, President of AVI. "Homeowners are remodeling, rather than seeking new homes. Many of them no longer base their plans around large square footage. They are looking for the best total value to invest in their homes. At AVI we're prepared to advise homeowners on how to incorporate the finest materials, make their homes comfortable, bright and healthy, and cause minimal impact to the environment. The Marvin window and door products we sell are integral to the objectives of fine building, as well as sustainability."
In addition to her many public appearances as the leader of a revolution in residential architecture, Sarah Susanka is also the designer of a dream window in the myMarvin project. Sarah's window design makes use of the Venting Picture Window, an innovation that was originated by Marvin windows and doors. The myMarvin project draws upon the inspiration of famous designers, artists, and architects, interpreting their ideas into actual Marvin windows, demonstrating Marvin's exceptional design flexibility and capabilities.
